[LIH] Printing from a Linux Box

hello all:

i installed linux in my office pc (no x-windows). when i tried to print from    mutt 
by pressing "p" nothing happened.

but when i tried "ls > /dev/lp0" it got printed. i am using canon BJC 210 printer. 
please help.
