[LIH] mounting FreeBSD on linux partition

Dear List,
        I am a new user of FreeBSD.I tried to mount FreeBSD partition from
my Linux, it was giving me incorrect filesystem after specifying
filesystem as auto as well as UFS.How can I mount that partition.I tried
this in Mandrake 7.02.
