following up on my own pre-mature shooting of the mouth. The rpm was meant
for kernel 2.2.5. Now I have Downloaded and installed from the sources.
You can try this out, i know there is always mc, but now i can just cd to
.tgz tar.bz2 and what not.
In fvwm i was missing kfm, but now with the tiny and fast rox-filer
( http://rox.sourceforge.net ) coupled with avfs, things are just great.
One has to tweak the source of either the rox-filer or avfs at a couple of
places, to make them work. (*)
Maybe i'will add multiple association, to make life even better ( provided
i find my way through GTK code )

(*) the change is minimal if one modifies the rox source, rather than
avfs. But small icons is not working for the compiled from source version
( as opposed to rpm ). So if you are happy with the default size ( smaller
than standard kfm icon sizes ) you can do that.
