[LIH] Digital camera canon

Hi,
I wanted to know how to configure a canon digital camera to work under
linux,after doing so how do i import the pictures to the pc
Is there any prog for linux which lets me do this.On windoze we do have
canon Zoom browser but how do i go about doing this in linux.
