In that case, the best I can think of is - trial and error.. Systematically 
cycle through IO, IRQ, DMA etc. Or maybe better, write a script to modprobe 
with the allowed ranges of each. That's what I normally do. Check the return 
status of modprobe after each invocation. 
I know what a pain it is to configure a non pnp card...
