I'm including Shridhar's reply, because
this method is definite to work, but there is an easier way
also.
if you right click on the floppy icon on your
desktop you will get the option-unmount if you already
inserted a floppy inside before. just click on this option
and the same job gets done in quick time.(provided you are
doing all this from your X session-gnome or kde.
then after clickiing on the unmount option. you can
insert you're next floppy, and double clickon the floppy
icon.
