In a terminal window, I changed login to root using su, then installed kde2
with the command rpm -Uvh * -- nodeps as indicated in PCQuest magazine Feb
issue; I then added the line startkde in my .xinitrc file (in my home
directory). I am running Mandrake 7.1
I rebooted the machine and I am still the proud user of KDE 1.2!
What did I do wrong?
Also, how can I get out of X and run in consi=ole mode?
