Yes Kingsly, I have a file called /etc/fb.modes and it contains modelines
for different resolutions. But when I type fbset I get the following :

debian:~# fbset
open /dev/fb0: No such device

The device is present in /dev and I have compiled framebuffer support in
the kernel. What else is remaining to be done ?

Thanks for all the help.

Warm Regards
