Hi all
In foxpro etc, one can control the character co-ordinates on paper like screen
ones in curses or good old TC. That especially helps small industries, which
gets their bills preprinted and later just print the data on it. Tally has built
in facility to do it but it's not customizable. This is really cost saving for
small industries, which still uses dot matrix printer.
How can I do it in linux? I heard some fellow manipulating postscript files with
perl scripts etc. He was filling his tax return on the blank postscript form and
print the whole stuff out, but didn't get any further pointers.
I got a suggestion from Sreangsu to manipulate text files with
spaces/tab/newlines etc. That's a good one and sure it will work.
I would like to know if I can do that with postscript. Any pointers?
Shridhar
