I don't think DGA support exists for all graphic cards ... anyways check
if theres a line like this in ur X config file

why don't u try configuring ur machine with a stock kernel that came with
ur distro ? that way you have a 100% possibility of getting ur card
working... and then u can try compiling support for the card into ur
custom kernel... I had a helluva time getting my USB webcam working...
I suppose you have tried xawtv -noxv option. (that worked for me!)
