yes you can install it very easily
download
alsa-driver-ver.tar.bz2
alsa-lib-ver.tar.bz2
alsa-utils-ver.tar.bz2
tar -Ixvf alsa-driver-ver.tar.bz2
cd alsa-driver-ver/utils
./buildrpm
rpm -Uvh /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/alsa-driver-ver.i386.rpm
tar -Ixvf alsa-lib-ver.tar.bz2
cd alsa-lib-ver/utils
./buildrpm
rpm -Uvh /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/alsa-lib-ver.i386.rpm
tar -Ixvf alsa-utils-ver.tar.bz2
cd alsa-utils-ver/utils
./buildrpm
rpm -Uvh /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/alsa-utils-ver.i386.rpm
now you have alsa installed properly on ur machine and all that is left to
do is configure your soundcard!
get the alsaconf-0.4.3b-1.noarch.rpm (or latest version)
and install that too!
run alsaconf
and you are ready to rock!

How about printing them on paper if that gives you a more bookish feel ?
I normally do that when I don't feel like staring at the monitor for long
hours!
