The problem is that the Modeline for mandrake and Redhat (configured by
default I suspect) are different.
How to correct it.
>From a terminal in X, run xvidtune
set the auto option on and then adjust the screen image as you see fit from
the program. Then click on the display button. It should print out a line on
the terminal it was run from.
cut this line and paste in as the last line among the modelines with a
modeline header in the X config file (normally /etc/XF86Config or
/etc/X11/XF86Config.)
Do the same on the other distro as well.
