Hi,
There seems to be some bug in alsa0.9.0beta3. After I compiled the new
alsa, the volume control ( * and / ) from mplayer did not work. I posted
on mplayer mailing list. They told me that the bug has been fixed in CVS.
Similarly kmidi gave me some error with this new stuff. Kmidi worked quite
well with alsa 0.5.
I am now using alsa 0.5 which seems to be working quite well.
