There are really some cool GUI frontend tools, for compression &
decompression for your system,( a la Winzip) ....
TkZip is an X front end to standard archiving/compression programs

The other Alternatives I've used are Gnozip,Linzip,Guitar && yeah
karchiver... Of them I've found Tkzip to be most flexible....
