QMail prefers delivering to maildirs, not mboxes (but you can modify the
local delivery agent to deliver to mbox I suppose).
I'd suggest using Courier IMAP or Cyrus for stability, security etc - plus
the fact that they do maildirs.
And I'd suggest exim or postfix rather than qmail (ok, I'm allergic to it -
you might not be) :)
