Hi!

You can do it many ways but I would like to suggest
the easiest way(which I feel) just boot from your CD(I
hope your computer supports for this to happen you
need to change the boot sequence of your BIOS). Just
try to install one of the applications in Linux by
selecting UPGRADE option when it mentions you to
select whether to INSTALL/UPGRADE. After doing this,
it will ask about the LILO here give what you have
normally selected (MBR).

This will solve ur prob.
