Hi Zubin,

Do the following steps in order todial successfully through kppp.

1. Press the setup button.
2. CLik on the Modem Tab.
3. Click on the Modem Commands button
4. Look for the DAIL STRING field. You will have ATDT here
5. Change this to the following

        A. If you have Pulse dialing, Then replace ATDT with ATX0DP
        B. If you have Tone Dialing, Then replace ATDT with ATX0DT

The X0 is essential, as that switches off the modem detection feature for
kppp. This is a verified and tested procedure. so go ahead and implement
this.

The string is X0 (x zero) and not XO (X Oh), fine.

Let me know if this works.

Regards

Manik
