You need to run bochs under X... I think you are trying to run it on the
console...
and bochs can't access the actual hardware... everything is emulated!!
so you will need to create a bootdisk(from a windoze machine)
use a diskimage of that and specify that as the A drive in bochsrc
and specify a filesystem in a file to be the C drive.
The docs has details on creating the file and the CHS declaration and
stuff.
