My method of taking a feed from newsroom.cqu.edu.au will not work for
you if you want to give users post access. You need to get a proper
feed from someone - VSNL has a server (news.vsnl.net.in) - but I think
it is an antique one, running some old version of innd. Send VSNL a
mail asking for a newsfeed.

nntpget can be used to fetch all articles that are newer than the
timestamp on a given file. So I used a directory full of files (one
per newsgroup), and a script that would touch the file once all new
articles from a newsgroup were fetched.
BTW, how many groups do you want to host? News hosting requires lots
of bandwidth and disk space.
