[LIH] Problem with booting linux

Hi,

I have 20GB hard disk
I installed linux in one of the partition
The installation went fine.
But  i have some problem with booting linux.
when i try to boot it gives L (of LILO prompt)and then gives 000000
 
i tried changing the mode , but doesn't work.

I boot into linux using linux boot disk

Can any one figure out the problem
