Hi,

 Start a telnet session to your linux box.
 set the $DISPLAY variable as  ::  prompt > set $DISPLAY =
yourmachine.domain.com:0
 then  prompt > export $DISPLAY.
 Start exceed in passive mode. ( Click on Passive mode when XDCMP display starts
up )
 Now from within your telnet session run xinitrc. Exceed will pickup from there.
You can do the same with most Xclients ( reflection is better than Exceed for
this  - IMHO )
