I have a suse7.0 linux.It's yast tool detects my gvc33.6 external modem easily but
when i use wvdial or kppp it says dialtone not detected,but a dial tone is definetly
coming from the modem.Usualy if this happens in windows i check an option to dial
without a dial tone. How do i solve this in linux.
( i had sent a similar mail earlier but my mail service crashed-did anyone
