 |Tell you what, computer monitors have far better of resolution compared to
 |TV. So you better watch movies on computer screen only. Get a magnifying
 |glass if you feel that display is too small..

CD movies are 320x240 or something and DVD is 512x384 (???) fullscreen and
480x204 (???) widescreen

so having a kool monitor that can do 1280x1024 won't do you one bit of
good! ever played 3d games on a TV ? ever wonder why game consoles like
PS2 are so popular ?

And a 29" TV is more value for money than a 21" monitor!

Yes Anil you can watch your CD's and DVD's on your TV ... I do it
occassionally but I do it under windoze because the drivers for my video
card are not available under linux.(I even play games on my TV)

get yourself a video out capable graphics card(most cards today are
capable of this) and more importantly one with a linux driver for the
video out part... of course you can do it the hard way and write your own
driver ;-)
