Gaurav Priyolkar saw fit to inform me that:
>Hi all,
>
>While shutting down my computer, ctrl-alt-del randomly has the effect
>of either 'halt' or 'reboot'.
>
>/etc/inittab has:
>ca::ctrlaltdel:/sbin/shutdown -t3 -h now

After installing linux the first thing I do is the following :

# What to do when CTRL-ALT-DEL is pressed.
#ca:12345:ctrlaltdel:/sbin/shutdown -t1 -a -r now
ca:12345:ctrlaltdel:/sbin/halt

Uncomment the original entry in /etc/inittab and add the /sbin/halt
entry.

init q

Period :-)

Warm Regards
