I wouldn't know about the performance under linux... until today my TNT2's
performance wasn't as good as it was under windoze.(made a semi disastrous
upgrade to the latest driver!)
the new nvidia driver seems to be a lot better than their previous
releases. but for Geforce and stuff better check with someone who's using
it and then decide to go in for it.
The price should be pretty low since nvidia has come out with a lot of
cards after that geForce 2 geForce 3 , nForce , quadro etc etc
one thing to look at is what applications will you run under linux that
needs such a high end card.
