If I am correct the package is libpspell not libaspell. Or at least I
couldn see that in both MDK 8.0 CDs.
[root@lvghomepc lvgandhi]# rpm -qa |grep libpspell
libpspell3-devel-0.11.2-9mdk
libpspell3-0.11.2-9mdk
even balsa page says of libpspell only as given below
"You will need pspell-devel (obligatory) and gnome-print-devel
(optional)"

I have used stock rpm that came with mdk 8.0.
