Helo All, Please forgive me for putting this question into this list, but this is urgent. I wanted to know how to configure PPP-Dial-in in AIX 4.3.3. I wanted to give a Windos m/c dialing into AIX server. Following is wat i tried:- 1. Create a tty say for e.g tty0 2. Configure ppp, given local and remote ppp interface IP addresses. 3. Created a user called ppp. 4. Start the ppp daemon pppcontrold. I got the procedure from http://mort.level5.net/johnr/howto/pppin.txt The problem is when I dial-in Iam getting the loging prompt, but this is not the ppp login instead it is getty login. So I am not getting IP address assigned for the remote m/c. So I cannot invoke any tcpip services from win m/c. Please tell me how to do it, since I am standing on fire!!!
