If you can afford it, the Intel Ether Express Pro is an excellent card.
Costs ~ 4000 rupees though - and DLink cards are quite good under low network
load conditions, for normal use.
If you try to use that kind of card on the gateway machine of a largish LAN,
you are likely to see it barf on a regular basis.
