That's right.

Now, from my man fsck,

blackehlo: ~$ /sbin/fsck --version
Parallelizing fsck version 1.19 (13-Jul-2000)

The -y is an option in e2fsck - which gets called for ext2 filesystems.

-y     Assume an answer of `yes' to all questions; allows e2fsck to be used
non-interactively.
