Reminds me a lot of freebsd - but dselect was what put me off debian in the
first place.  I preferred slackware, somehow - it was (is) much more intutive
to me - and rather similar to freebsd's /stand/sysinstall

No, I was not installing unixen in those days ... but yeah, I do see your
point about a HDD install being useful in such cases.
