I am not on  RH, so perhaps not the right  person to attempt a
reply  ... however,  I hope  this post  would keep  the thread
alive ...

should remember  that WP8 is over  two years old, and  the old
libraries needed  to support  it may not  be available  in the
default RH 7.0 box.

I was running WP8 happily when running on Debian Slink. When I
upgraded to Potato last year,  I had to install three programs
from oldlibs  section to  overcome segfaulting ...  On Debian,
the old packages were xlib6, libc5 and xpm4.7.

I do not  know the packages system  of RH 7.0 ...  my hunch is
that  RH 7.0  default  libraries  are too  recent  for WP8  to
operate ...

I could  be wrong here ...  There must be people  on this list
using WP8 on  RH7.0 ... They need to come  forward to help you
out.
