Put this in your .muttrc -

set implicit_autoview
auto_view text/html
set mailcap_path="~/.mailcap"
set mailcap_sanitize=yes

And then put this in ~/.mailcap

text/html; /usr/local/bin/lynx -dump -force_html %s; \
copiousoutput;nametemplate=%s.html

No cute pics etc - but you can pipe the mail to konqueror / netscape
instead, I guess.

Use lynx

There's only one O'Reilly book on sendmail - by Eric Allman and Bryan
Costales (with further additions by Neil W Rickert). Just ask for "the
Bat Book" (there's a pic of a bat on the cover). Excellent, yes - but a
bit outdated as it was originally written for sendmail 8.8.8

The best sendmail documentation is in doc/op/op.{me|ps} in the sendmail
source tree (or in the sendmail-doc rpm of dead rat). Also the sendmail
FAQ at http://www.sendmail.org/faq/

Procmail - extensive documentation available online - such as
http://www.iki.fi/~era/procmail (the Procmail Bronto-FAQ)

Fetchmail - http://www.tuxedo.org/~esr/fetchmail has a detailed FAQ
which is more than enough.

Mutt - Plenty of docs available at http://www.mutt.org and the
mutt-users list archive.

In all three cases, a google search should provide the answer you are
looking for, within the first four or five hits you get.

If you bought $1000 worth of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be
worth $72. If you bought $1000 worth of Budweiser (the beer, not the
stock) one year ago, drank all the beer, and traded in the cans for the
nickel deposit, you would have $79. My advice is to start drinking
heavily.
