Hi all!

I have an interesting problem here. I have a hetrogenous network, that means it has
win9x, winNT, Linux(RH,Debian,SuSE) machines.

Till now I had DHCP/WINS on NT, now I am trying to use it on a debian m/c.

Installing, configuring dhcpd + wins(through samba) was not a problem and almost
everything runs fine,

except that one of my debian m/c which does not have samba does not get resolved(via
WINS) on a win9x machine.

Other than that all Linux machines running samba get resolved through wins.

How do I overcome this, i do not want to install samba on this debian m/c. This is my
mail server.

Any clues/hints??

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards,

Sanvir Jham
