I am having i815 kobian MB.When I do shutdown from kdm login menu, it
shutdown the PC and power goes off automatically. Now I compiled the kernel
2.4.3-12. I am not sure what is the parameter which enables this. Now auto
poweroff is not happening. I will like to know the parameter which governs
this.

I had no problem with RHL7.0 (from the Dummies book) but yes, I do have this
problem with PCQ 7.1 version. My MB is a socket A sis 730S 200Hz with a Duron
750 (this answers someone else's query some time ago re hardware
compatibility)
