Hello everybody, My friend has a Compaq computer with 20GB HDD containing WindowsME and Mandrake Linux 8.0 and lilo installed on MBR. Everything worked fine until recently when he connected his epson LX-300 DMP. Now, when he connnects his printer to the computer, turns on the printer and then boots his computer, the following problem occurs ( he has graphical lilo installed ) :- A text lilo prompt comes for a fraction of a second, it disappears and the following error comes and stays for a second or two : 304 Keyboard or System Unit error Immediately afterwards, the lilo graphical OS selection screen comes, but keyboard does not function. So, he gets into WindowsME, without getting a chance to select Linux. ( Please note that it is an USB Keyboard. ) Once in WindowsME, the keyboard functions allright. This problem does not occur if the printer is turned on after booting into Linux. Can anybody tell me how to solve this problem ( and what might be the reason for such strange behaviour ) ??
