Hi Naveen,
I have installed JDK 1.3 on RH 7.1. I installed it
using the rpm package like you did. Just make the
following entries in /etc/profile
PATH=$PATH:/usr/java/jdk1.3.1_01/bin
wherein /usr/java/jdk1.3.1_01 is the default path
where the jdk gets installed.
Try it out and let me know.
