hi,
try doing a /sbin/modprobe -l |more
see if ppp0 is there
if it is not there then do a
whereis ppp0
you might have that placed in the wrong path so you
can place it appropriately....
else get the module....and do a insmod ppp0.o
to see if the module has been properly installed do a
/sbin/lsmod......
