Oh my ! Isn't this really saving bandwidth ! Except for the
Subject line, there is no hint of what it is all about !

Incidentally, what is this /etc/ppp/ip-up.local ? Is it some
RH specific stuff, or is is just  good  old ip-up script, to
be run by pppd on  successful  connect (as documented in the  
original ppp docs), but only named that way ?
