I recently installed PcqLinux( Pcquest's variation of Red Hat 7.1) on my PIII -
800 ,Mercury 815e motherboard , 40Gb harddisk, machine

I installed Linux on the last three Gbs of my HDD, and I boot the system using
loadlin.

I am facing a couple of problems and I hope someone can help.

1. After installation, I logged on into the system and tried mounting the CD ROM
drive . It gave an error " hdc: no driver found "
I have a Samsung 52X cdrom (ATAPI). Secondry Master
It has a entry in /etc/fstab for mounting it as iso9660 filesystem.
2. I am unable to configure X to use my onboard video chip from intel although
it does recognise it.
I use Xconfigurator to configure it.
It works fine till it probes for the right mode and then says an error
occured while probing.
3. Same is true with my onboard sound card.....inspite of detecting it
correctly...the configuration fails.
4. My windows 98 partitions don't mount during boot up and the following error
is given....... " vfat not supported by the kernal"

Please help......
