I have installed PCQ linux 7.1. Mine is i815 MB. i810 oss was working. Then I installed alsa. After I installed and did alsaconf, I didn't hear the sample sound. Now in /var/log/messages I have the following concerning sound. I use xmms and xaw tv. I hear the sound. aumix and kmix shows sound. What the line 'No mixer config in /etc/asound.conf, you have to unmute' means? How to find alsa or oss is working? I also have these lines.
