I did not understand what Suresh meant when he said that formmail.pl was a highly
insecure piece of junk .It is a different matter , that I felt hurt (because I was
its designer ... it was supposed to bundle together the contents of the Html form and
Mail it off to me) .

In the mean time , our Vitual Host directives do conform to the pattern suggested by
Suresh , and in fact the sites are up.
But , as but-s can be, formmail.pl and other perl scripts do not take off.

What would you suggest so that I can still have a CGI script to bundle the contents
of the HTML form (calling form) and mail it off ?

Thanks,

Very good thing - formmail.pl is a highly insecure piece of junk. Dump it.
In the meantime, take a look at your virtualhost directives -

<VirtualHost 10.0.0.1>
ServerAlias www.example.com example.com
ServerAdmin [EMAIL PROTECTED]
DocumentRoot /home/example/public_html
ServerName www.example.com
ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ /home/example/public_html/cgi-bin/
</VirtualHost>
