Hi all, I tried formatting a new floppy under linux using the command #fdformat /dev/fd0H1440 but while verifying I am getting a message "Input/output error. Problem reading cylinder 0, expected 18432, read -1". And the floppy became unusable. I tried with another new floppy with the following commands #mknod /dev/fd0u1440 b 2 60 #fdformat /dev/fd0u1440 Again it resulted in the same error. And i could not use the floppy again. Is there any way to recover this.
