Hello everybody,

This is reagarding a peculiar problem my friend is facing
while printing under Linux using his Epson LX-300 DMP.
He is using CUPS with the printer driver set at 240x180dpi.

Problem with ascii text printing :
Margins set using xpp are 72points at left, right, top
and bottom, but actual printing shows different margin length.
Especially, the bottom margin is ridiculously in excess.
How to correct this ?

Problem regarding postscript printing :
He created a postscript file using enscript with margins
set as --margins=50:50:50:0. The resulting file, when printed,
gives a huge bottom margin around 1.5 inches, other sides being
within acceptable limits, but not exactly as set.(Page size being A4.)
On the other hand, ghostview shows zero bottom margin.

What is actually the problem?
Can anyone explain this mystery??

Regards,
Santanu Chatterjee
