Hello all,
I want to know if I can pass the UDMA mode parameter via
loadlin to the kernel. The kernel parameter idex=dma is fine and I am
currently using hdparm in rc.local with X68 as the value. But in the
ever optimistic quest for speed can the udma mode parameter be passed to
the Kernel at boot time ?
Also something about the PCI bus speed. I am currently
overclocking at 37MHz over the standard 33MHz. I have compiled the
kernel for the PCI bus access to be Direct. Should the kernel be told
about the increase in speed or will it detect it automatically and give
the best performance ?
