I have downloaded  Driver from

http://www.medres.ch/~jstifter/linux/pctel-0.8.6.tar.gz

Unziped it to pctel-0.8.6 directory done the following.

[root@localhost pctel-0.8.6]#
./configure --with-hal=i810intel --with-kernel-includes=/usr/src/linux-2.4.3

configure: error: modversions.h is missing - you should configure your
kernel first!

[root@localhost pctel-0.8.6]# uname -a
Linux localhost.localdomain 2.4.3-12 #1 Fri Jun 8 15:05:56 EDT 2001 i686
unknown

Getting the error. The installation read me say's following about the
"config" command

<readme>
2) Find out what chipset you have in your board:
3) ./configure
Options:
--with-hal=hal
Select one of: pct789, cm8738, i810intel, i810sis, via686a
--with-kernel-includes=/path/to/my/kernel-sources/include
If you don't have your kernel sources at /usr/src/linux, specifiy
your includes
</readme>

I am not sure about the Options. Is the "--with-hal=hal" about the mother
board or the Modem. I am having Koihban.com's 810 FST Mother Board and Cel
800. Linux is PCQ 7.1 and kernel upgraded to 2.4.3-12 from pcq cd.

Please Help.
