If it is Java then you would use Swing and JDBC, right ? What other options do you have ? Actually I am on the lookout for an alternative in Java to Swing - libraries that give me the screen/console based look as in Mutt and MC. The advantage being instant loading time. Do you know of any ? My first Java program in 98 or so was an SQL client that gives the capability to complete table and column names by pressing tab. But Swing loads slowly - i want to rewrite the gui as a console mode app like Mutt !
