Most of the cases it will work fine when you select fdisk instead of usual
diskdruid the RH7.1 GUI gives u for partitioning (check out for the option fdisk

in the partitioning phase)...and once u go to the fdisk screen see help on how
to
create partitions...and once u are done exit it and u r back to the installation

screen...

If you have never done this...you can easily locate while in the partitioning
phase of installation...by seeing left side help screeens...

I installed RH7.1 on 40 GB harddisk after installing Win 98.
