Hello all, I have HTML form having two text boxes of username and password of the user. After submitting the form, I need to authenticate the users according to the linux password file (/etc/password and /etc/shadow) using the cgi script. How can I authenticate the users from that file? Or I need to create another database having table of fields username and password ?
