I tried some hands on Linux assembly and succeeded.
I don't know your complete post but what I can guess is
you have problem with assembly syntax.
listen friend,
Assembly is a language, more on that it is an operating
system dependent language(to the some extent).
You are using TASM. I think it is on dos622. The assembly language
you are learning must be of dos622 from gaukar or daglous hall .
Dont try to port your program of TASM to nasm of x86 linux(if it is of dos622).
Try to understand assembly language howto fully.
search goggle, I have some bookmarks, will post it later.
www.linuxassembly.org is very good source.
I am writing this from home, I will post some more info

hi guys!
some time back I had posted a question regarding
assembly language programming in linux.
well thanks for the info. but things have not been
smooth.
I've tried many
assemblers-as,gas,as86,nasm,easynasm,gasm,gasp. and
not a single one of my programs are working. the thing
is I am learning it on "tasm".
the syntax for every one of the linux asemblers is
different. it may take way to long to relearn things.
so now to the main part- I was wondering if there was
anyone who actually has done assembly programming on
linux and has been successful at it. How did you do
it? does tasm syntax work on any linux assembler? is
it worth relearning? is it too tough? is there nay
easy way out. i read the HOWTO on assmly prog.
please tell me if you been successful and managed to
do it? electronics engineering students especially.
