Hi, I am trying to create an NIS enviroment on six linux machines on a subnet . I have configured the NIS server and the clients. But for some reason or other the server does not communicate with the client. The domainname is the sameon bothe server and client.The gateway is the same.
The clients ypbind fails giving the error : listening to the nis server ..... [failed] Moreover I cannot do a telnet, rlogin nor rsh within these machines. But I can ping them. Please let me know what I have to change so that this works.....
